Transaction Commons addresses and eliminates the recurring inefficiencies that occur when negotiated documents are versioned and exchanged through email and hard copy.
The leadership team of Transaction Commons have all experienced these inefficiencies first-hand, and the premise of Transaction Commons is that when technology is simply and effectively applied to document collaboration and versioning, deals get done, and done more efficiently. Elizabeth Usovicz, General Manager of Transaction Commons
Elizabeth Usovicz is a senior-level strategist with more than 18 years' progressive management experience in consulting, corporate and entrepreneurial environments. Over the course of her career she has worked with a broad spectrum of companies, including high-tech, high-growth start-up businesses, Fortune 1000 companies with new business ventures, business-to-business services and consumer packaged goods.
As a consultant to companies seeking venture capital, merger and acquisition opportunities and exit strategies, she has reviewed over 300 companies for business model viability and scalability, business development strategy and sales and marketing execution.
Elizabeth's interest in streamlining the deal process began in 1999, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for RecordsCenter, a venture capital-funded start-up company providing online applications for corporate M&A transactions and board meetings. She led the company’s strategic marketing and business development initiatives, successfully developing its initial book of national clients. She also led the company’s fundraising strategy and initiated RecordsCenter’s relationship with a leading provider of corporate legal services, which acquired RecordsCenter in May of 2001.
Her background includes key roles with Deloitte, as the firm’s first Director of Marketing for Financial Services; as Vice President, Business Development of the National Investment Company Service Association; and as a member of the national Strategic Marketing team at DST Output (a division of DST Systems).
Elizabeth's career also includes extensive international business development and relationship management experience. She has delivered consulting services to a wide range of businesses and organizations, including Kellogg’s of Mexico and Harvard University. She is a recognized contributor to the business community in Kansas City. She serves on the Advisory Boards of several early-stage companies and has served as a company coach and committee member for the Invest Midwest Venture Capital Forum. She is a frequent speaker on business development, and has authored several articles on topics such as sales development and growth strategy for high-growth potential companies. Elizabeth also writes a bi-weekly blog on service leadership.
